It's been said Taos has a magical quality. Perhaps it's the history here, the blend of three cultures, the artist colony of then and now, the purple mountains' majesties, the light, the sunsets and sunrises, the skiing and other year 'round outdoor activities, the 300+ days of sunshine and dry climate, the vast vistas, the laid back lifestyle....whatever it is, visitors are drawn here, many of whom choose this historic area for second homes, or even relocate here. Living in town is very attractive because of the proximity to arts and activities, with mountain views at every turn. Today there are condos in and around the historic Plaza, the focal point of the town. And of course, there are interesting, wonderful old adobe homes that are so sought after as well.
