Ranchitos is a long road, divided into "Upper" and "Lower" sections, along which there are open fields, small farms, grazing pastures, acequias (irrigation ditches), rivers.  This "Lower" division runs from the Taos Plaza along the Rio Pueblo until this joins the Rio Fernando at Blueberry Hill Road.  Along this route is the historic Martinez Hacienda, and homes that are a mix of designs, including old and new adobe, manufactured homes, a few trailer homes and territorial style homes.  Views of Taos Mountain and of the southern Truchas Mountains can be seen from here.
